Scotland McCallum
Scotland holds an AA in History from Sierra College and has previously served on the Board and as the President of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. In addition to being a licensed bail agent, he has worked for almost two decades in the fitness industry in various capacities.
A California native, he especially enjoys being outdoors. In his free time, he can be found hiking in the foothills of the Western Sierra and the Desolation Wilderness or visiting the coastal regions with his husband. He is also an avid reader and especially enjoys the works of Tolkien and Herbert.

MELISSA ZIMMERMAN
Melissa Zimmerman of Bail House Bail Bonds is the calm, reassuring, knowledgeable voice on the other end of the collect phone call you have just made from jail.
Posting bail is like an insurance policy guaranteeing court appearances, and if you call the bail house Melissa or one of her staff will pick up the phone ready to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.
Raised in Auburn since 1974, Melissa graduated from Placer High School in 1987. For the last two years of high school, she participated in a program called “Work Experience,” similar to today’s ROP program in high school, that offers on-the-job training while earning school credits. This is when she started working at the Bail House, then owned by Frank Calabretta.
Melissa has been faithfully serving the Nevada City community since then! In 2022, she took over ownership of Bail House Bail Bonds and has continued Frank's legacy of cheerful service and compassion.
